The 2014 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Qual- ity Performance Report was just published. This report shows data on performance for each of the 33 ACO quality measures such as (BP control, DM control, Flu Vaccination etc).

As discussed at the recent State of the Network meeting, last year’s Providers’ Survey identified the need for bi-directional communication. Although some clinical services already may have established formal reviews, the Network Development Committee of the EPN/EPS Operating Board is working to implement a standardized process for annual performance reviews and communication for all providers. We look to begin these evaluations in the fall of this year. Please look for more information in the next EPN/S News-letter.

The Operating Board Management of EPN/S Structure was established last spring to support the EPN/S Network and establish a decision making body to set a multi-year strategic plan, establish clinical service and quality goals and support physician practice. Through the course of implementation, the need for enhanced communication was identified.
